Special Products

Tailored. Engineered. Practical.

Not every challenge can be solved with a standard product. That's why, in addition to our core portfolio, HELANTEC develops specialised solutions for specific requirements in the insulating glass industry. Many of these products have been developed in close collaboration with our customers and are based on decades of practical experience.

Our product range includes:

  • Gas consumption measurement systems
  • Gas mixers
  • Leak finders
  • Low-E testers
  • Grinding wheels for edge deletion

Whether you need an additional component or a fully customised solution, we develop products that integrate seamlessly into your production processes.

Facing a unique challenge? Together, we'll find the right solution.

ISO-GAS-METER (IGM)

ISO-GAS-METER (IGM)

Measure. Analyse. Optimise.

Highlights

  • Precise gas consumption measurement for every insulating glass unit
  • Suitable for argon, krypton and other gas mixtures
  • Continuous monitoring of the gas filling process
  • Detection of gas losses and overfilling
  • Automatic documentation of all measurement data
  • Data evaluation in Microsoft Excel or with HELANTEC software
  • Intuitive touchscreen operation

The ISO-GAS-METER (IGM) measures the gas consumption of every insulating glass unit accurately. It provides reliable consumption data, identifies optimisation potential and creates a solid basis for cost-effective gas filling processes.

Instead of relying on estimated or average values, the IGM automatically records the exact gas consumption for every filling cycle – without additional effort.

For complete process monitoring at gas filling presses, we recommend combining the ISO-GAS-METER (IGM) with the ISO-PRESS-ANALYSER (IPA). Together, both systems monitor the entire gas filling process and automatically document every insulating glass unit produced.

Gas Mixing Systems

Gas Mixing Systems

Precise. Flexible. Cost-Effective.

Highlights

  • Freely adjustable mixing ratios
  • Accurate and stable gas mixtures
  • Suitable for argon, krypton and other gas mixtures
  • Robust orifice plate technology
  • Low maintenance and long service life
  • Suitable for gas filling presses and manual gas filling systems
  • Low investment and operating costs

Typical Applications

  • Production of calibration gases for the automotive industry
  • Leak detection test gases
  • Protective gas atmospheres for industrial processes
  • High-precision binary gas mixtures

HELANTEC gas mixing systems produce highly accurate gas mixtures for the insulating glass industry and a wide range of other industrial applications. Freely adjustable mixing ratios, excellent long-term stability and a robust mechanical design ensure consistent results and maximum flexibility.

In insulating glass production, on-site gas mixing offers significant advantages. There is no need for pre-mixed gases, mixing ratios can be adjusted to suit individual requirements, and the required gas mixture is always available. The mixing process is independent of gas withdrawal, ensuring consistently stable and highly accurate gas mixtures – even when gas demand varies.

Precise gas mixtures, tailored to your application.

Leakfinder 2.0

Leakfinder 2.0

Detect. Locate. Optimise.

Highlights

  • Fast localisation of gas leaks
  • Suitable for argon, krypton and other gas filling systems
  • Compact and portable design
  • Simple and intuitive operation
  • Robust construction for everyday production use

The Leakfinder 2.0 quickly detects leaks in insulating glass production. It helps identify and eliminate gas leaks at an early stage, reducing unnecessary gas consumption and ensuring consistently stable gas concentrations.

Fluctuating gas concentrations or unexpectedly high gas consumption are often caused by small leaks that initially go unnoticed. Whether in butyl seals, connectors, valves, hose connections, pressure regulators or fittings, the Leakfinder 2.0 helps pinpoint the source of the problem, making production processes more efficient and reliable.

Less gas loss. Greater process reliability. Faster fault diagnosis.

Low-E-Tester

Low-E-Tester

Check. Detect. Confirm.

Highlights

  • Fast detection of metallic Low-E coatings
  • Does not damage the coating
  • Simple and safe operation
  • Compact and portable design
  • Ideal for everyday production use

The Low-E Tester quickly identifies metallic Low-E coatings on glass. Simply place the device on the glass surface and it instantly indicates whether a Low-E coating is present – without damaging the coating.

Designed for everyday production use, the Low-E Tester makes it easy to identify the coated side of the glass and helps prevent processing errors.

Helping ensure quality and reliability in insulating glass production.

Grinding Wheels for Edge Deletion

Grinding Wheels for Edge Deletion

Precise. Durable. Purpose-Built.

Highlights

  • Suitable for automatic edge deletion machines and handheld grinding tools
  • Compatible with all common Low-E coatings
  • Available in various grit sizes, hardness grades and dimensions
  • Long service life
  • High machining quality
  • Custom versions available

Proper edge deletion is essential for the long-term performance of gas-filled insulating glass units. Since butyl does not achieve sufficient adhesion on coated glass surfaces, the Low-E coating must be reliably removed from the edge area before sealing.

HELANTEC grinding wheels ensure clean and uniform edge deletion in both automatic edge deletion machines and handheld grinding tools. A wide range of abrasive materials, grit sizes, hardness grades and dimensions is available to suit different coating types, machines and applications.

The right grinding wheel for reliable edge deletion and long-lasting sealing performance.
